Yesterday (Siaq Organization for Youth and Development) held a training workshop on assessing health capabilities and needs in the Salah – Cairo Al-Muzaffar districts – in Taiz Governorate, with the participation of 12 male and female volunteers from youth leaders.
During the workshop, the current situation in the health sector was reviewed and discussed, especially at this stage coinciding with the spread of the Corona virus in all countries of the world, and Yemen is one of those countries that recorded the first case of this epidemic, according to World Health Organization reportsThe training workshop also discussed the challenges facing the health sector, including a lack of capabilities that affect the low level of providing health services to citizens, in addition to discussing the mechanism for conducting surveys and field studies to determine needs and evaluate health capabilities in the targeted districts.The Siaq Organization for Youth and Development will prepare comprehensive reports that include accurate statistics and information about the available capabilities and what are the needs and challenges facing the health sector at the present time in the targeted districts and discuss them with the supporting bodies and the local authority with the aim of shedding light on the problem of the lack of health capabilities crisis and advocating and mobilizing official and community efforts. And creating a joint working mechanism between civil society organizations, youth initiatives, and the health office to rationalize joint work and adopt solutions to support the health sector.
